Ben and Debbie first met in Spanish class at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was there that a guy from Minnesota and a woman from the Amazon Basin in Brazil began a friendship. Four years later Ben graduated with his degree in Theology and Debbie with hers in Social Work.
That summer Ben went on his first 6 week trip to Brazil as an intern with PAZ International and then returned to ORU and earned a master’s degree in Business Administration. Debbie moved to Japan and spent a year as a missionary helping with the international church plant in Japan and then returned to Tulsa to earn her master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Oklahoma. They were married in Michigan at Cornerstone Church where they attended and served at for almost 7 years. Ben joined the staff as the intern director, was ordained a pastor, and finished his time there as the Youth Pastor. During this time Debbie became a Licensed Social Worker and helped many children and families with her services while also being very involved at church. While in Michigan the Lord blessed them with two beautiful girls, Isabella and Evelyn. They have a great love for the local church and a desire to see many more churches planted!
Ben and Debbie moved their family as missionaries to Japan in January 2019, joining the exciting work PAZ Japan is doing for the Lord in the Greater Tokyo area. They have since been blessed with their 3rd daughter, Eliana Justice. They are working hard at learning Japanese to reach the goal of winning Japan for Jesus!
