Pablo and Colleen have been members of PAZ International since September, 1990. They are members of Trinity Church in Morton, Illinois and are also Mennonite Mission Network associates.
Pablo grew up in the Peruvian Amazon, the son of Wycliffe missionaries, Gerhard and Ruby Fast. Colleen grew up in the US heartland, the daughter of a Mennonite pastor. Her parents are Walter and Doris Smeltzer.
Their daughter, Natasha and her husband, Nick Hayden, live in Kendallville, Indiana with their three children, Fyodor, Serenity and Mercy.
The Fasts live in Lábrea, a city of 40,000 on the Purus river, a tributary of the Amazon, where they have been pastoring a Paz Church since 2011. They also give oversight to the planting of Paz Churches through the efforts of dedicated volunteers from Lábrea and communities of the mid-Purus region.
